Express Mail Service
Express Mail Next Day Service is available at Campus Mail Service through the U.S. Postal Service. Express Mail guarantees next day delivery to most destinations based on qualifying zip codes. Second day delivery is guaranteed to all other destinations. Postage is refundable if mail is not delivered the following day to qualifying areas. Express Mail postage rates are based on the weight of the mailpiece.
To utilize Express Mail Service, a completed Postage Service Request form, signed by the fiscal officer, that designates the destination of the mailpiece must accompany the mailpiece to Campus Mail Service.
For early dispatch, Express Mail must be received by Campus Mail Service by 1:00 p.m. To utilize the USPS late network, for a limited number of qualifying zip code destinations, Campus Mail Service must receive the mail piece by 4:30 p.m.
Express Mail corporate accounts are available for departments that have a need for overnight service after 4:30 p.m. and on weekends. Departments requiring a corporate account must send a letter of justification to Campus Mail Service for annual approval by the director of Plant and Service Operations. USPS will supply preprinted labels that identifies the corporate account holder and number to approved customers.
Drop boxes are available on campus and at the USPS. Mail will be picked up from drop boxes located on campus at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Express Mail Service is available between the United States and certain foreign countries. Postage depends on weight and destination. Contact Campus Mail Service for more information.
