The condition of the facilities and grounds on any campus directly impacts the real and perceived quality of everyone’s academic and personal experience. As this University’s largest non-academic department, the Physical Plant is dedicated to providing high quality services that result in safe, clean, well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing facilities and ground areas.
Physical Plant staff are responsible for the repair, maintenance, cleaning and operation of all SIU Carbondale facilities and grounds, as well as the operation and maintenance of campus utilities.
